Bristol International Festival Of Kites And Air Creations
Ashton Court Estate
In 2010 the Kite Festival is promising an action packed aerial extravaganza. This will feature spectacular flying displays, kite fighting battles, breathtaking synchronised routines flown to music and awesome power kites as well as colourful ground-based inflatables.

Bristol Half Marathon 2010
Starts at Anchor Road
One of the UK's leading road races with over 15,000 entries. The attractive, sea-level course takes in the old city, scenic Harbourside and the stunning Avon Gorge and offers great potential for fast times and personal bests.

Bristol Cycle Festival
City centre
Watch out for installations and activities across Bristol City Centre, and get in the saddle for the UK’s first dedicated bike carnival, and join in bike games across the city with IgFest, Bristol's annual 'interesting games' festival.

Launch of The Brunel Institute
Brunel’s ss Great Britain
Be amongst the first to view the conservation and learning centre.

BAC 100 exhibition
Bristol Museum And Art Gallery
The exhibition will provide an overview of a century of aviation innovation in the West of England, taking as its starting point the founding in 1910 of the Bristol Aeroplane Company.

Bristol Fashion Week
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway
Bristol Fashion Week is The Mall at Cribbs Causeway's annual fashion extravaganza. It returns at the end of September to launch the autumn/winter collections available from stores at the Mall.

Coupe Gordon Bennett Balloon Race
Ashton Court Estate
In September 2010, the Coupe Gordon Bennett will be hosted in Britain for the first time. Up to 20 teams from around the world will compete in the world’s greatest Gas Balloon Race.

Brisfest
Harbourside
Brisfest is a music and arts festival celebrating local and South West culture, created to inspire passion and creativity by offering an exciting interactive event for audiences of all ages. There are out-door stages, fire displays, kids area, fancy dress, world food zone, light shows, workshops, garden and turfed areas to create a stunning festival vibe in an urban city centre location.

At-Bristol
Morph will join a host of other Aardman Animations favourites in At-Bristol’s new permanent exhibition, Animate It! With over 300 hands-on exhibits to explore plus live shows and a planetarium, At-Bristol is one of the UK’s biggest and most exciting interactive science centres.

RWA artists draw inspiration from their travels. Familiar and exotic scenes and interpretations on show. A summer exhibition with surprises.

David Hockney: Six Tales From The Brothers Grimm
Royal West of England Academy
An extraordinary exhibition of etchings illustrating the six fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm. Hockney has given each fairy tale his own contemporary and humorous interpretations, reflected in the quirky nature of the images.

Kerry Tribe
Arnolfini
This will be the first major solo exhibition in the UK by this Los Angeles based artist. Kerry Tribe works primarily with video, film and installation.

Sequelism Pt 2
Arnolfini
Following on from Arnolfini large-scale group exhibition Sequelism Pt 3 in 2009, this exhibition will be an even larger project, sited within the public realm. Sequelism is an ambitious, multi-faceted project that looks into the future and at that which is yet to happen.

This exhibition features enigmatic scenes exploring memory and imagination.

Outdoor Equine Sculpture Exhibition
Horseworld
The show will exhibit the work of over thirty exciting and diverse artists. The idea of the exhibition is to display horses, ponies and donkeys and their mythological variants, illustrating their place in history, prehistory and myth.

Bristol Museum Art Art Gallery
Container, an artists led exhibition and workshop space set up by the Stokes Croft Contemporary Arts Project CIC, will be presenting a series of six newly commissioned works in an exciting collaboration with Bristol Museum And Art Gallery. During September, Andrew Southall’s work will be shown.
