Fairtrade Fortnight
Various venues
Celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight with a variety of events across the city, including a Fairtrade Art exhibition at the Create Centre featuring a special wall created by Bristol schools and the help of a local artist. On Wednesday 27th February a concert, Fanfare for Fairtrade, will be held at the Colston Hall following the theme of justice and world harmony. This will be complimented by a Fairtrade marketplace in the foyer.

Dr. Dolittle
Bristol Hippodrome
Doctor Dolittle tells the magical story of a world-renowned veterinarian who has a very special gift - he can talk to the animals! Join him and his friends as they begin an intrepid adventure to find the Giant Pink Sea Snail and expect to meet a host of amazing creatures along the way; including the Pushme-Pullyu and the Giant Moon Moth!
A perfect musical treat, that is sure to delight imaginations of all ages!

Night Exhibition

Embracing photography, film, drawing, painting and live performance, this multi-media exhibition focuses on the theme of Night, with a particular reference to the landscape. It includes internationally renowned artists such as Susan Derges, Jem Southam and Hughie O'Donoghue, alongside artworks from the 18th & 19th century.

Love: National Gallery Touring Exhibition

This National Gallery Touring Partnership exhibition takes the best from the nation’s finest collections and brings them to Bristol. Looking at the artistic depiction of love, it displays work from the fifteenth century to the present day.

Michael Stevenson: Persepolis 2530

Arnolfini
Persepolis 2530 – This exhibition reconstructs part of the site of an exuberant and infamous week-long party held by the Shah of Iran in 1971 amongst the ruins of the ancient Persian city of Persepolis.
Surburbia – In his first solo exhibition in the UK, Owens presents a photo essay that is candid and charming in its portrayal of California suburbia in the 1970s offering an insight into the aspirations for the domestic American dream at this time.

Breaking the Chains

Breaking the Chains examines the historical context of slavery, its destructive effect on relations between Europe and Africa, the nature of survival and resistance amongst African and Caribbean communities, the role of abolitionists and the legacy of the slave trade today.
