A 3-day wine and food extravaganza in the heart of Bristol celebrating fine wines from around the world and welcomes artisan food producers from the South West.

St Pauls Carnival
St Pauls
Visit St Pauls Carnival to not miss this much-loved community carnival. It promises more music, dance and colourful costumes than ever before!

40th Anniversary of return of Brunel’s ss Great Britain to Bristol
Harbourside
Join the 40th anniversary celebrations of the ship’s epic salvage from the Falkland Islands and return to Bristol. ‘The Incredible Journey’ includes: A new exhibition Beautiful animation Trails Memories and film online.

Bristol Harbour Festival
Harbourside
Bristol's liveliest and largest Harbourside event, taking place before a backdrop of hundreds of colourful vessels in the floating harbour throughout the weekend, and finishing with a stunning fireworks display.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Old Down Country Park
Entertain your kids this July at Old Down Country Parks Teddy Bear's picnic. Held in the Victoria Walled garden children can enjoy some classic stories while enjoying a picnic in the sun. Why not grab a coffee in the cafe and let your kids be entertained by someone else for a change! Normal admission charges apply.

Tall Tales for Little People
Avon Gorge and Wildlife Project
After a short walk accompanied by animated tales about the wildlife and folklore of the Gorge and Downs there will be a picnic beside a meadow.

Events at Castle Combe Circuit
Castle Combe Circuit
2, 7, 21 and 30 July: Track Days. If you want value, close exciting racing with some of the largest grids in the country, a race programme often featuring 10 or 11 races crammed into a 4½ hour afternoon, then Castle Combe Circuit is the answer.


17 - 18 July: Dunlop Great & British Motorsport Festival. You'll want to spend as much time in the paddock as you will watching the racing at the Dunlop Great & British Motorsport Festival meeting.


31 July – 1 August: 60th Anniversary Raceday. One of the most significant meetings ever, as the circuit celebrates its 60th Anniversary.

Troopers Hill Nature Reserve
Troopers Hill is a local nature reserve owned by Bristol Parks. It is on a hillside overlooking the River Avon that’s been used as a mine and quarry in the past.

Silky Wave Walk
The Avon Gorge & Wildlife Project
The Avon Gorge is the only English site for the silky wave moth. Spend an evening with Ray Barnett (Bristol Naturalists’ Society) and Warren Spencer (Bristol Zoo Gardens) spotting this rare moth and some of the other invertebrates that make the Avon Gorge their home.

Enjoy a free guided tour of the formal gardens or Kitchen Garden. Meet by the Aviary. Tours run Saturday to Wednesday, normal admisson charges apply. No booking required.

By walking with a guide through the city centre, old town, markets and historic harbour you can hear about the personalities, the stories and events that over centuries helped form Bristol into the energised and successful city of today.

Say Parsley is a sparse sound and language installation by London-based French-Norwegian writer Caroline Bergvall and Irish composer Ciaran Maher.

Arnolfini
Otto Zitko will produce an ambitious drawing-based architectural intervention especially for the Arnolfini’s exhibition and circulation space.

The group specialise in contemporary and classic furniture using sometimes modern, sometimes traditional, and sometimes sustainable materials to make striking and innovative pieces.

Kerry Tribe Exhibition

This will be the first major solo exhibition in the UK by this LA-based artist. Kerry Tribe works primarily with video, film and installation.

Sequelism Pt 2 Exhibition

Following on from Arnolfini large-scale group exhibition Sequelism Pt 3 in 2009, this exhibition will be an even larger project, sited within the public realm. Sequelism is an ambitious, multi-faceted project that looks into the future and at that which is yet to happen.

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery
Container, an artists led exhibition and workshop space set up by the Stokes Croft Contemporary Arts Project CIC, will be presenting a series of six newly commissioned works in an exciting collaboration with Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. During July, Ellen Bell’s work will be shown.

Outdoor Equine Sculpture Exhibition
Horseworld
The show will exhibit the work of over thirty exciting and diverse artists. The idea of the exhibition is to display horses, ponies and donkeys and their mythological variants illustrating their place in history, prehistory and myth.
