Shape of Things Exhibition
Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery
The Shape of Things is a contemporary craft exhibition. Artists Alinah Azadeh and Rosa Nguyen show new work in response to Bristol's collections.

Shakespeare Season
The Tobacco Factory
Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory Theatre returns for its 11th spring season with two of Shakespeare’s most magical plays. A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest.

Go wild for wildlife
Bristol Zoo Gardens
’Go Wild for Wildlife’ launches the Zoo’s programme of activities in support of the ‘International Year of Biodiversity’. During half term get your brains buzzing for our new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ challenge. Or dress up as your favourite animal and our rangers will show you how to play our creature feature game, weekdays at 12.30. Prizes for the best fancy dressed.
In addition, on Mon 15 Feb, there will be free entry for every child dressed as their favourite animal between 9am and 11am with a full paying adult.

Pirate Half Term
Fleet Air Arm Museum
If you are wondering what to do with the children this half term, then bring them along to the Museum. Everyone is encouraged to come in fancy dress and talk in their best 'Pirate'! There will be pirate related activities throughout the museum and a Captain 'Jack Sparrow' look alike will be on hand to ensure any lazy land lubbers get their comeuppance.

Dog Days
Westonbirt Arboretum
Every dog will have its day at Westonbirt's 'Dog Days' weekend of fun and frolics. Whether dog owner or dog lover, you'll enjoy the Dog Olympic Games and the Kennel Club's 'Good Citizen Scheme' testing. On Sunday, there's a display from the ever-popular Swifts Fly Ball team, and if you're feeling energetic Cani-X will send you and your dog off on a 2.5km or 4km run through Silk Wood.

7 February: Hands on… Going Underground. Travel millions of years back in time and take a closer look at fossils and minerals.
16 February: Hands on… Portraits. Look closely at yourself and others through a range of family activities inspired by portrait paintings and sculptures in our art galleries. (10.30am - 12.30pm & 13.30pm - 4pm)
17 February: Hands on… Make that Link. There are all kinds of connections linking objects and paintings in the museum. Explore how some of these are linked to each other and how they may relate to you.

This will be the first solo exhibition in the UK of this emerging artist from Krakow. Janek Simon's work attempts to utilise information systems available in order to ascertain the extent to which culture and economy have developed a relationship within contemporary society.
